Day 1: September 24, 2024 / Arrival
Departure at 6:00 am from Luxembourg at the Bouillon P+R via the Gotthard Pass to Verbania, breakfast and lunch included.
Day 2: September 25, 2024 / Isola Bella
The morning is free. Take time to discover the hotel, its park and beach, or explore idyllic Verbania on a stroll. You will find plenty of stores, inviting terraces and a picturesque harbor. In the afternoon, take a cruise to Isola Bella, the jewel of Lake Maggiore. You will have the chance to visit the magnificent Baroque Borromeo palace and its enchanting gardens.
Day 3: September 26, 2024 / Villa Taranto - Lake Orta
In the morning, visit the famous nearby Villa Taranto, whose blend of naturalistic design and rare plants is a feast for the eyes. Next, a visit to the enchanting Lake Orta, just a few kilometers west of Lake Maggiore. Lunch is served on site. At Orta San Giulio, time seems to stand still. Enjoy the unique atmosphere as you stroll through the town.
Day 4: September 27, 2024 / Free day
Organize this day as you wish. Take the boat to Isola Madre, visit the magnificent Parco della Villa Pallavicino or take the cable car up to Monte Mottarone.
Day 5: September 28, 2024 / Lugano
Start the day with an early-morning Swiss drive to Lugano. This charming city invites you to stroll through its narrow, winding streets and pedestrian zone, with its many open-air cafés. In Via Nassa, renowned for its impressive arcades, you will find exclusive boutiques. After a relaxing lunch break, enjoy a leisurely cruise on Lake Lugano. At the end of the day, explore the charming villages of Campione, Caprino and Gandria before returning to the hote
Day 6: September 29, 2024 / Domodossola-Locarno railway line
In the morning, transfer to Domodossola, where you will take the Domodossola-Locarno railway line. This journey takes you through the “valley of a hundred valleys”, along deep ravines, over impressive bridges, through idyllic chestnut forests to Locarno. You will have free time to explore the town.
Day 7: September 30, 2024 / Return
Depart via the Gotthard Pass to Lucerne on Lake Lucerne, where you will have lunch. In the afternoon, continue to Luxembourg.
