Itinerary
Day 1: 05 July 2025 / Arrival Departure at 7.00 am from Luxembourg at the P+R Bouillon for Stansstad, breakfast included. The rest of the afternoon is at your disposal.
Day 2: 06 July 2025 / Old town of Lucerne - Cruise on Lake Lucerne In the morning, you will begin your journey in the romantic Old Town of Lucerne, which will enchant you with its winding lanes, bridges, promenades and squares. Everywhere you look, you'll see historic towers, fountains and magnificent houses. The picturesque old town by the lake is marked by the town's landmark: the Pont de la Chapelle, rebuilt after the devastating fire of 1993. In the afternoon, a relaxing cruise on Lake Lucerne awaits you.
Day 3: 07 July 2025 / Day trip to the Swiss mountains On an exciting day trip, you'll be immersed in the awe-inspiring beauty of the Swiss mountains. Your journey will take you by bus along picturesque pass roads offering unforgettable panoramic views of majestic peaks, deep blue lakes and lush green valleys. Enjoy the breathtaking views and let the idyllic scenery enchant you as you travel through this unique Alpine setting.
Day 4: 08 July 2025 / Journey with the Furka Summit Steam Train Today's bus journey will take you through the picturesque Gotthard region, first to Andermatt and then to Realp. There you will board the nostalgic Furka steam train, which was part of the original Glacier Express line. The historic steam train takes you over the impressive Furka Pass to Gletsch. You will then continue by bus to the Grimsel Pass, famous for its spectacular location. After a stop at the idyllic reservoir, you continue your journey and reach the charming towns of Meiringen and Brienz, the centre of woodcarving on picturesque Lake Brienz.
Day 5: 09 July 2025 / Day at your leisure Enjoy pure relaxation in the hotel's wellness oasis or let your soul wander to the shores of the lake - organise this day as you wish.
Day 6: 10 July 2025 / Monastery village of Engelberg Today you set off on a journey to the idyllic monastery village of Engelberg, at the foot of the impressive Titlis, whose summit rises over 3000 metres into the sky. Since 1120, monks have lived here in an unbroken tradition, devoting themselves to the Christian life.
Day 7: 11 July 2025 / Return home After breakfast, departure for Basel. You will have the opportunity to explore the old town at your leisure. In the afternoon, you will make your way back to Luxembourg.
