Following its premiere in 2024, the Bregenz Festival will also be performing the enchanting romantic opera “Der Freischütz” in 2025. You can look forward to Puccini's emotional music, which delights with gripping drama and wonderful melodies. In addition, the evening at the picturesque Lake Constance with its impressive natural landscape creates a very special ambience.

Itinerary

Day 1: August 04, 2025 / Arrival
Departure at 7:00 a.m. in Luxembourg at P+R Bouillon to Lindau on Lake Constance, including breakfast and lunch.

Day 2: August 05, 2025 / Bregenz Festival
The morning is at your leisure. In the early evening, you will enjoy a festive 4-course menu in the Bayerischer Hof restaurant. Afterwards, at 19:50, you will be transferred by boat from Lindau to the festival stage, including a welcome drink. Experience the performance of “Der Freischütz” by Carl Maria von Weber. You will receive a seat cushion and category 1 seats. After the performance, take the boat back to the hotel.

Day 3: August 06, 2025 / Mainau Island
Take the bus to Meersburg, where you will travel by boat to the island of Mainau. This beautiful flower island is worth a visit all year round. You will have plenty of free time there. After your stay, you will take the boat back to Meersburg, where you will also have free time. We recommend that you visit the castle of the same name and the castle museum inside. Then return to your hotel by coach.

Day 4: August 07, 2025 / Journey home
After breakfast, you will start your journey home to Luxembourg, including lunch.

The Freischütz:

An inhospitable village in Germany shortly after the Thirty Years' War: the young clerk Max loves Agathe, the daughter of the hereditary forester Kuno.
