Day 1: October 17, 2025 / Arrival
Departure at 5:00 AM from Luxembourg at P+R Bouillon to Merano, including breakfast and lunch.
Day 2: October 18, 2025 / Merano
Merano is mainly known as a shopping center and the main spa resort of the autonomous region of Trentino-South Tyrol. It offers numerous expansive parks, green walking paths, botanical gardens, and several rivers. Take the opportunity to have lunch amid the lively atmosphere of the Grape Festival.
Day 3: October 19, 2025 / Grape Festival in Merano
Today you can look forward to a wonderful day in Merano: Festively decorated floats parade through the streets of the city. The parade starts at the Vinschgau Gate, moves through the old town, and along the spa promenade, accompanied by brass bands, folk dance groups, fanfares, and traditional costume guilds from South Tyrol and Switzerland. Numerous stalls with traditional food and drinks will ensure your culinary well-being at the festival grounds.
Day 4: October 20, 2025 / Dolomites Tour
After breakfast, today's excursion will take you through Bolzano and Welschnofen to the idyllic Lake Carezza. From there, you will cross the Carezza Pass at 1,745 meters and enter the picturesque Fassa Valley. The tour continues via the Pordoi Pass, around the impressive Sella mountain group, and then over the Gardena Pass to Wolkenstein. Finally, you will reach Ortisei, a charming village famous for its artistic wood carvings and its picturesque town center with romantic alleyways.
Day 5: October 21, 2025 / Trento
You will drive through Bolzano to Trento, peacefully located between the Dolomites and Lake Garda. The city impresses with its splendid Renaissance and Baroque architecture, which is reflected in its palaces and churches, giving it a southern flair. Additionally, discover the winding and dreamy old town stretching beneath the impressive Castello del Buonconsiglio.
Day 6: October 22, 2025 / Free time in Merano – Lana – South Tyrolean Fruit Tree Museum
The morning is free to explore Merano. In the afternoon, you will travel to nearby Lana, the oldest and largest fruit-growing community in South Tyrol. There, you will visit the South Tyrolean Fruit Tree Museum, which offers an impressive collection of exhibits illustrating the development of orchard farmers' tools over time. In addition to the fascinating exhibition, the historical building of the museum itself is also a highlight worth seeing.
Day 7: October 23, 2025 / Neustift Monastery – Renon
Today, you will take an excursion to Neustift Monastery, which includes a guided tour and wine tasting. Afterward, the journey will continue through the picturesque Isarco Valley to the Renon Plateau, a sunny and expansive mountain ridge.
Day 8: October 24, 2025 / Return journey
After breakfast, you will return to Luxembourg, including lunch.
