ITINERARY
Day 1: August 8, 2025 / Arrival Departure at 5:00 a.m. from the P+R Bouillon in Luxembourg to Husum, including breakfast and lunch.
Day 2: August 9, 2025 / Husum City Tour – Husum Harbour Days In the morning, enjoy a guided tour of the Theodor Storm town of Husum. Discover the charming market square with the famous Tine Fountain, St. Mary’s Church, the Castle of Husum, as well as the Storm family’s residences and the settings of the renowned author's novellas. A visit to the picturesque inner harbour completes the program. Afterwards, you will have free time to fully enjoy the Husum Harbour Days – featuring live music, a craft market, street performances, impressive ship parades, culinary delights, and the traditional tug-of-war over the harbour basin.
Day 3: August 10, 2025 / Free Time Today is yours to spend as you wish. We recommend exploring the charming boutiques and cozy cafés in the town center. For literature enthusiasts, a visit to the Theodor Storm House is a must.
Day 4: August 11, 2025 / St. Peter-Ording – Friedrichstadt – Canal Cruise Start your day with a trip to St. Peter-Ording, a popular North Sea holiday destination known for its characteristic stilt houses and expansive beaches. Afterwards, visit the picturesque town of Friedrichstadt, where you will enjoy a scenic canal boat trip through this dreamy town, famous for its stepped gable houses.
Day 5: August 12, 2025 / Sylt After breakfast, head to Sylt, the elegant island of northern Germany. Travel by train from Husum to Westerland, the island’s capital. A guided tour by local bus will reveal the diverse sides of the island, including the Frisian charm and unique dune landscapes of Kampen and Keitum. Afterwards, you will have free time in Westerland before returning to Husum by train.
Day 6: August 13, 2025 / Hallig Hooge – Carriage Ride – Königspesel The morning is at your disposal in Husum. In the early afternoon, depart from Nordstrand by boat through the Wadden Sea, passing five Halligen (small marsh islands) and the island of Pellworm, towards the “Queen of the Halligen,” Hooge. Surrounded by Germany's largest intact natural area, which serves as a breeding and resting place for seabirds, Hooge offers a carriage ride from mound to mound, including a visit to the historical Königspesel Museum. The day concludes with the fascinating storm surge cinema on Hallig Hooge.
Day 7: August 14, 2025 / Return Journey Return trip to Luxembourg with lunch included.
