Itinerary
Day 1: Sept. 20, 2025 / Bus & flight arrival Departure at 4:30 am in Luxembourg at the P+R Bouillon to Marseille, including breakfast and lunch. Embarkation takes place at around 18:00. Dinner and overnight stay on board the ferry.
Alternatively: direct flight from Luxembourg to Ajaccio. Transfer from the airport to the hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
Day 2: Sept. 21, 2025 / Bastia - Ajaccio In the morning, enjoy breakfast on board the ship. You will then reach Bastia, the charming port city in the north of Corsica. After checking out, you will have the opportunity to explore the old port at your leisure. The journey then takes you through the impressive interior of the island, past Corte, the former capital of Corsica, to Ajaccio.
Passengers: You have another day at leisure in sunny Ajaccio.
Day 3: Sept. 22, 2025 / Ajaccio Ajaccio, the regional capital and largest city in Corsica, is known as the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte. During a guided tour, you will discover the enchanting city center and the lively harbor district.
Day 4: Sept. 23, 2025 / Calanques de Piana A wonderful day awaits you with a picturesque panoramic drive to the Calanques de Piana. The route takes you via Vico and Évisa through the impressive Spelunca Gorge to Porto. You then drive along the Calanques, where you can admire the extraordinary beauty of these rock formations to the full.
Day 5: Sept. 24, 2025 / Bavella massif In the morning, drive via Propriano to Sartène and on to the impressive Bavella massif. The Aiguilles de Bavella, spectacular rocky spires and a multitude of glacial lakes framed by steep rock faces, await you there. You will then return to Sartène, where you will make a short stop in this characteristic Corsican town.
Day 6: Sept. 25, 2025 / Bonifacio - Crossing to Sardinia You set off in the morning for Bonifacio, a fascinating old harbor town perched boldly on a rock high above the sea. On arrival, you will have free time to explore the town on your own. In the afternoon, the ferry crossing from Bonifacio to Santa Teresa in Sardinia is on the program.
Day 7: Sept. 26, 2025 / La Maddalena - Caprera Today you will travel by ferry to the island of La Maddalena, which was once a feared pirate's nest, but today delights with its idyllic bays and charming little town. From there you cross a bridge to the neighboring island of Caprera, where the house of the famous freedom fighter Garibaldi is located, which can now be visited as a museum.
Day 8: Sept. 27, 2025 / Costa Smeralda - Porto Cervo Today's excursion takes you to the famous Costa Smeralda with its snow-white bays and spectacular rock formations. Take a stroll through Porto Cervo and enjoy the elegant boutiques and cafés.
Day 9: Sept. 28, 2025 / Tempio Pausania - Elephant Rock - Ferry crossing to Genoa In the morning, head to the center of the cork industry in Tempio Pausania. After a leisurely stroll through the old town with its charming, winding alleyways, you will continue your journey to Castelsardo, a picturesque harbor town in a fantastic location. On the way, stop for a photo at the famous rock in the shape of an elephant. You then continue along the coast to Porto Torres. In the evening, take the ferry from Porto Torres to Genoa. Dinner and overnight stay on board the ferry.
Alternatively: Return flight with Luxair from Olbia to Luxembourg.
Day 10: Sept. 29, 2025 / Journey home to Luxembourg After breakfast on board the ferry, you will disembark in Genoa. You will then embark on the return journey to Luxembourg, including lunch.
