ITINERARY
Day 1: May 25, 2025 / Arrival Departure at 5:00 am in Luxembourg at the P+R Bouillon to Millstatt am See, incl. breakfast and lunch.
Day 2: May 26, 2025 / Millstatt am See - boat trip Today you have the opportunity to get to know Millstatt am See on a bus tour followed by a guided tour of the town. Highlights of the program include the 1000-year-old lime tree, the former Benedictine monastery and the beautiful collegiate church. A boat trip on the picturesque Lake Millstatt is planned for the afternoon.
Day 3: May 27, 2025 / Grossglockner High Alpine Road An impressive excursion to the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, the highest pass road in Austria, awaits you. You will make stops in Heiligenblut and on the Franz-Josefs-Höhe (2,242 m), where you can admire the majestic Großglockner with its imposing glacier tongue.
Day 4: May 28, 2025 / Carinthian Nockberge Biosphere Reserve Experience a panoramic drive through the Carinthian Nockberge Biosphere Park and immerse yourself in a unique low mountain range landscape at an altitude of 2,000 meters, surrounded by picturesque alpine pastures. After a short hike around Lake Windebensee, a cozy stop at a mountain hut awaits you with a traditional Brettljause snack and a delicious Frigga, a Carinthian bacon and cheese omelette.
Day 5: May 29, 2025 / Day at leisure in Millstatt am See We recommend that you explore the romantic 19th and 20th century villas and the summer residences of aristocrats and wealthy families that give this place its unique charm
Day 6: May 30, 2025 / Lake Wörthersee - Maria Wörth A panoramic drive along the picturesque Lake Wörthersee takes you first to Velden, where a guided tour of the old town awaits you. The town is famous for its casino and the Schlosshotel Velden. The tour then continues with a boat trip from Velden to Maria Wörth, where you can have lunch. The afternoon is then free for you to get to know the idyllic village.
Day 7: May 31, 2025 / Malta High Alpine Road - guided tour of the dam wall - panoramic restaurant Today's program includes an excursion to the nearby Malta High Alpine Road, which stretches over an impressive distance of 14.4 kilometers. A one-hour guided tour along the dam wall offers fascinating insights into the workings of this architectural masterpiece. After the eventful tour, a delicious lunch awaits you in the panorama restaurant. There you can relax on the sun terrace and enjoy the breathtaking scenery before returning to Millstatt am See.
Day 8: June 01, 2025 / Journey home After breakfast, you will set off on your return journey to Luxembourg, including lunch.
