ITINERARY

Day 1: December 29, 2024 / Arrival - Eastbourne 
Departure at 5:30 am in Luxembourg at P+R Bouillon to Eastbourne, including breakfast and lunch on the ferry. Remaining day at leisure in Eastbourne.

Day 2: December 30, 2024 / Scotney Castle - Balfour Winery
Today you will visit a jewel of the English countryside: Scotney Castle. The castle enchants with its lush gardens and romantic ponds. The ruins of the medieval manor house with moat are particularly worth seeing. The tour then continues to Staplehurst, where you will visit the Balfour Winery. With a rich history and a commitment to craftsmanship, Balfour Winery invites visitors to enjoy their award-winning wines and champagnes in an idyllic setting. After the wine tasting, head back to Eastbourne where the rest of the afternoon is at leisure. 

Day 3: December 31, 2024 / Brighton - Alternative: Seven Sisters
Your day begins with a trip to Brighton. This lively seaside town in East Sussex is famous for its distinctive piers, lively seafront and diverse cultural scene. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to visit the Seven Sisters, a breathtaking chain of white chalk cliffs along the southern English coast. Remember to wear rainproof clothing and sturdy shoes. Here you will go on a leisurely hike with a local guide. After returning to the hotel, an exquisite dinner awaits you in the Garden Restaurant on New Year's Eve (please dress smartly). The evening begins with a champagne reception, followed by an elegant four-course gala dinner. Afterwards, celebrate in the festive 'Great Hall' with live music from the Sally Jane Hurst Band. Toast the New Year with a glass of champagne at midnight.

Day 4: January 01, 2025 / New Year's Day - Bandstand - Hastings 
After a delicious morning brunch, you can take a leisurely stroll to the bandstand. The annual New Year's concert takes place there at 11:00 am, which traditionally promises a perfect start to the new year. In the afternoon, continue to the historic coastal town of Hastings. Here, visitors have the opportunity to explore the impressive castle ruins, stroll along the lively promenade or visit the old fishing village. Immerse yourself in the charming atmosphere and enjoy the picturesque coastal landscape.

Day 5: January 02, 2025 / Journey home
On your last day, you will have some free time in Eastbourne before you travel to Dover to catch the ferry back to Calais. From there you will continue your return journey to Luxembourg.
