Itinerary
Day 1: September 02, 2024 / Arrival
Departure at 6:00 am from Luxembourg at P+R Bouillon towards Calais, with breakfast. In half an hour, you will reach the British Isle via the Euroshuttle and be driven to your hotel in the Cotswolds.
Day 2: September 03, 2024 / Excursion to Gloucester
Today you will be staying in the beautiful Cotswolds countryside. The enchanting rolling landscape is distinguished by its unique honey-colored stone houses, estates, charming churches and magnificent parks. In Gloucester, you will visit the unique and imposing cathedral, then have plenty of time to stroll through the pedestrian zone to the Historic Docks.
Day 3: September 04, 2024 / Cotswolds
You will visit Sudeley Castle, surrounded by an impressive 1,200-hectare estate and ten award-winning gardens. You will then make your way to the Broadway Tower and on to the village of Broadway, the pearl of the Cotswolds. The day ends with a visit to Bourton-on-the-Water, one of the most romantic places in the world, with its narrow arched bridges.
Day 4: September 05, 2024 / Stratford-upon-Avon & Hidcote Garden
In the morning, you will visit the picturesque town of Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare. Follow in the footsteps of the famous writer. Then on to Hidcote Manor, a magnificent example of English garden design. Chipping Campden, a picturesque town built entirely of Cotswold stone, brings your day to a close.
Day 5: September 06, 2024 / Gloucester - Ashford
Morning exploration of Blenheim Palace, a Baroque masterpiece and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. The sumptuous reception rooms and well-kept castle, surrounded by extensive parkland created by the king of English gardens, Capability Brown, will leave you in awe. Then it is on to Ashford.
Day 6: September 07, 2024 / Return
After an English breakfast, you will head for Dover, where the P&O Ferries will call you to embark for Calais. In France, return to Luxembourg.
