Itinerary
Day 1: 13. Oktober 2024 / Arrival
Departure at 6:00 am in Luxembourg at P+R Bouillon to Rosenheim, including breakfast and lunch. Hotel briefing, dinner and overnight stay.
Alternatively: flight to Ljubljana and transfer to the hotel in Poreč.
Day 2: 14. Oktober 2024 / Poreč
After breakfast, drive past Villach and Ljubljana to Poreč, where you will arrive in the early afternoon. Briefing at the hotel.
Day 3: 15. Oktober 2024 / Poreč – Rovinj – Limski-Kanal
On this day, you will explore the two towns of Poreč and Rovinj. Poreč is a beautiful coastal town with numerous historical sights and beautiful beaches with turquoise waters. Rovinj, like many other towns in Istria, has a strong Roman influence, which is why you can visit some ruins, arches and other structures from antiquity. Finally, discover the diverse landscape of the peninsula on a boat trip on the Limski Canal.
Day 4: 16. Oktober 2024 / Motovun - Grožnjan
After breakfast, drive to Motovun, the town of the “good-natured giant”, a legendary figure known throughout Croatia. The small hilltop town has a strong medieval character and is surrounded by a walkable city wall. The town is also famous for its truffles. You can sample the culinary delights of these fine mushrooms over lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit Grožnjan, which is considered a town of artists and galleries and therefore shows another part of Istrian culture.
Day 5: 17. Oktober 2024 / Poreč
Today is at your leisure. Stroll through the old town or along the marina.
Day 6: 18. Oktober 2024 / Opatija – Pula
Set off for Opatija in the morning. During the city tour, you will explore numerous historic buildings that bear the unmistakable signature of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. During this period, the town was a fashionable seaside resort and winter health resort. This is followed by a visit to the coastal town of Pula, which offers a perfect blend of history, culture and Mediterranean flair.
Day 7: 19. Oktober 2024 / Presezzo
In the morning, departure by coach past Trieste and Verona to Presezzo, not far from Bergamo. Dinner and overnight stay in Presezzo.
Alternatively: transfer to Ljubljana and overnight stay with half board for passengers.
Day 8: 20. Oktober 2024 / Heimreise
Departure after breakfast to Luxembourg, incl. lunch.
Alternative: Flight to Luxemburg.
