Itinerary

Day 1: August 17, 2024 / Arrival Norderstedt/Hamburg

Departure at 6:00 am from Luxembourg at P+R Bouillon to Norderstedt, including breakfast and lunch.

Day 2: August 18, 2024 / Kiel and Color Line ferry crossing to Oslo

Morning departure for Kiel. Afternoon Color Line ferry crossing to Oslo. Dinner will be served on board.

Day 3: August 19, 2024 / Oslo

After breakfast on board the ferry, a local guide will accompany you on a city tour of Oslo. Norway's capital features a historic city center, old buildings, the majestic Karl Johans Gate and the Royal Palace. Free time.

Day 4: August 20, 2024 / Oslo - Holmenkollbakken - Borlänge

Morning visit to the Holmenkollbakken ski jump. Departure for Borlänge in Sweden.

Day 5: August 21, 2024 / Falun - Gävle-Sundsvall Scenic Tour - Umeå

Depart for the nearby town of Falun and visit the former “Falu gruva” copper mine, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then a magnificent panoramic drive along the Gulf of Bothnia to Umeå.

Day 6: August 22, 2024 / Scenic tour of Swedish Lapland

Another scenic drive through Swedish Lapland to Kiruna, Sweden's northernmost city.

Day 7: August 23, 2024 / Swedish border - Norway to the Lofoten Islands

Bus journey through Lapland to Svolvaer in Norway. The Lofoten Islands, with their colorful fishing villages and breathtaking scenery, are among the most beautiful landscapes Norway has to offer. After hotel check-in, the rest of the day is free.

Day 8: August 24, 2024 / Lofoten Islands Tour

On this tour, we'll show you the typical landscape of the Lofoten Islands: lush green meadows, colorful houses, blue sea and towering mountain peaks. In the morning, visit the Lofoten Museum in Kabelvåg. Then on to Leknes and Bøstad, where you'll visit the Lofotr Vikingmuseum.

Day 9: August 25, 2024 / Moskenes - Ferry crossing to Bodø - Visit to “Saltstraumen”.

Morning ferry crossing to Bodø. Arrival around 3:00 pm. Visit to “Saltstraumen”, the world's most powerful tidal current. Continuation to Mo i Rana.

Day 10: August 26, 2024 / Magnificent panoramic tour to Trondheim

Departure by coach south to Trondheim. Enchanting panoramas await you. Arrival in the afternoon. Free time in Trondheim.

Day 11: August 27, 2024 / Nidarosdom - Atlantic route to Vestnes

Morning visit to Nidarosdom Cathedral in the city center. Panoramic tour with a short ferry crossing from Halsa to Kanestraum. Passing through Kristiansund, you take one of the world's most breathtaking and impressive roads - the “Atlantic Route”. Continue via Vevang and Bud to Vestnes.

Day 12: August 28, 2024 / Sølsnes - Trollstigen Pass Route - Cruise on Geirangerfjord

Morning departure for Sølsnes. From here, a short ferry crossing to Åfarnes. Then on to Åndalsnes via the famous Trollstigen pass road, with a break in the viewpoint café on the pass road. Then on to Geiranger. Later, boat cruise on the Geirangerfjord to Hellesylt. Continuation to hotel.

Day 13: August 29, 2024 / Gudvangen - Cruise on the Nærøyfjord - Flåm railway to Myrdal

After breakfast, departure for Hella, short ferry crossing to Vangsnes and on to Gudvangen, from where you will take a boat cruise on the Nærøyfjord to Flåm. Free time. Then Flåm train journey to Myrdal. Connection with the Norwegian State Railway to Voss, where the bus awaits the group. Late afternoon arrival at the Hotel Thon in Bergen.

Day 14: August 30, 2024 / Bergen - Mount Fløyen

Walking tour of Bergen, ending at the valley station of the “Fløibane” funicular. Climb aboard to reach Mount Fløyen, 320m above sea level, for a spectacular view of the city and fjord.

Day 15: August 31, 2024 / Bergen city center

Depart the hotel in the morning and drive to Bergen city center, where you can explore freely. Discover the Hanseatic quarter of Bryggen, the fish market or the Bergenhus fortress. Board the Fjord Line ferry at noon and depart at 1:30 pm for Hirtshals in northern Denmark. Dinner and overnight on board the ferry. Alternative: Transfer to Bergen airport and flight to Luxembourg with stopover in Frankfurt.

Day 16: September 01, 2024 / Crossing from Denmark to northern Germany

Boarding takes place at 8:00 am. Then travel south via Aarhus to Kolding. Visit to the royal castle of Koldinghus. Continuation via Flensburg to Neumünster.

Day 17: September 02, 2024 / Return

Return to Luxembourg.
