Itinerary
Day 1: October 8, 2024 / Arrival
Departure at 5:00 am from Luxembourg at P+R Bouillon to Lerici, including breakfast and lunch.
Day 2: October 9, 2024 / Free day
Free time in Lerici, with its beautiful bay on the Ligurian Riviera of the Gulf of Poets. The town's inviting promenade along the shore and charming town center with its winding lanes invite you to take a pleasant stroll.
Day 3: October 10 2024 / Croisière aux Cinque Terre
Cinque Terre is a twelve-kilometer stretch of coastline along the Italian Riviera, comprising five villages. First you will visit Manarola, accessible by boat from La Spezia. You will also sail to Vernazza, perhaps the most beautiful village in the Cinque Terre. Finally, you will explore the fishing village of Monterosso al Mare before returning to La Spezia by train.
Day 4: October 11, 2024 / Portovenere - 3 Islands Cruise
In the morning, you will take a boat to the small coastal village of Portovenere, where you'll visit the idyllic little port, colorful houses and perched castle. In the afternoon, you will take part in an exciting cruise around the Palmira, Tino and Tinetto group of islands. Portovenere and the three islands are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 5: October 12, 2024 / Carrara - Sarzana
Today you will visit the town of Carrara, which makes its living exclusively from marble quarrying. Already in ancient times, the famous white marble for Rome's temples and statues was quarried here. We will also take you on an impressive tour of a marble quarry. You will then continue your journey to Sarzana, a small medieval town. Here, you will discover many sights, such as the market square in the center of town and the ship-shaped Piazza Matteotti.
Day 6: October 13, 2024 / Lucca
Today's program includes an excursion to the charming city of Lucca, birthplace of opera composer Giacomo Puccini. You will have free time to explore this city rich in culture and history. Do not miss the San Martino cathedral and the well-preserved 16th-century city walls.
Day 7: October 14, 2024 / Winery: visit, lunch and wine tasting
In the late morning, you will head to the Cantine Lunae Bosoni winery, where an exquisite lunch awaits you. In the afternoon, you will also take part in a guided tour of the winery, with wine tasting.
Day 8: October 15, 2024 / Return
You will begin your return journey to Luxembourg, with lunch included.
