ITINERARY

Day 1: October 01, 2024 / Arrival

Departure at 4:30 a.m. from Luxembourg at P+R Bouillon to Bordeaux, including breakfast and lunch.

Day 2: October 02, 2024 / Bordeaux - Cité du Vin

Morning tour of Bordeaux by tourist train. In the afternoon, visit the Cité du Vin museum. Here you will discover the art of viticulture and the different terroirs of the world.

Day 3: October 03, 2024 / Wine barrel making - Château Talbot

A local guide will accompany you throughout the day, providing information on wine classifications or interesting facts about the Bordeaux region. In the morning, visit the “Tonnellerie Nadalié”, where oak wine barrels are made. Lunch at a brasserie. Afterwards, a visit to the Château Talbot vineyard with wine tasting.

Day 4: October 04, 2024 / Dune du Pilat - Arcachon

The day begins with a visit to the Dune du Pilat, located at the mouth of Arcachon Bay. At 110 metres high, 500 metres wide and almost 2.7 kilometers long, it is considered Europe's highest walking dune. You will reach the top via a plastic staircase. There is plenty of time for lunch on site. After lunch, you will head to Arcachon, where you will have some free time. Once a small fishing village, Arcachon is famous for its oysters and is now a popular vacation destination. Stroll along the seafront or harbor and browse the many stores in the town center.

Day 5: October 05, 2024 / Châteaux Cadet - St. Émilion - Clos des Abbesses

Morning departure with local guide to a restaurant near the Rive Droite winery for lunch. Then visit the cellar of Château Cadet (Grand Cru classé) with tasting, the vineyards of St. Émilion and finally the family winery Clos des Abbesses (St. Émilion Grand Cru), also with tasting.

Day 6: October 06, 2024 / Free day in Bordeaux

Today is free to explore Bordeaux. Our recommendation: the “Bassins des Lumières” museum, opened in 2020, is located in a former submarine base and is considered the world's largest center for contemporary digital art.

Day 7: October 07, 2024 / Return

Early morning departure from Bordeaux for Chasseneuil-du-Poitou, where you will have lunch. Return to Luxembourg.

ALTERNATIVE: Transfer from the hotel to Bordeaux airport, evening return flight with Luxair to Luxembourg and return service to your home.
