ITINERARY
Day 1: March 11, 2025 / Arrival Arrival in the morning by direct flight from Luxembourg to Malta and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: March 12, 2025 / Valletta After breakfast, a fascinating tour of Valletta, the tiny capital of Malta, awaits you. Your tour starts at the gate of Valletta. You will visit the famous St. John's Co-Cathedral with Caravaggio's "The Beheading of St. John" as well as the Grand Master's Palace and the Baraka Gardens. Other highlights include Merchant Street and Republic Street. After the tour, you will have time at leisure.
Day 3: March 13, 2025 / Mdina - Rabat Today you will visit two magnificent cities. The small town of Mdina, situated high on a hill, offers a sweeping view of the neighboring towns. You will explore the picturesque narrow streets and visit St. Paul's Cathedral, which is dedicated to Malta's patron saint. Then continue to the charming neighboring city of Rabat for a relaxing stroll.
Day 4: March 14, 2025 / Sister island Gozo - Victoria On this day, discover Malta's beautiful sister island, Gozo, with its thousands of years of history, shaped by various cultures such as the Phoenicians, Romans, Arabs, French and British. You will explore picturesque villages, including Xlendi, where you will stop for an impressive view of the cliffs and the sea, visit prehistoric temples and then enjoy a delicious lunch. A relaxing stroll through the capital Victoria rounds off your day before returning to Malta by ferry.
Day 5: March 15, 2025 / Free time Today you can explore the island on your own or relax and enjoy the amenities of your hotel.
Day 6: March 16, 2025 / The south of Malta In the morning, you will visit the famous village of Marsaxlokk, where you will first stroll through the village market. Afterwards, enjoy an idyllic stroll along the promenade and admire the charming fishing boats. Afterwards, head to the impressive Blue Grotto, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the open sea. Your last stop is the megalithic temples of Malta, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 7: March 17, 2025 / 3-city and harbor tour You start the historical tour of the island of Malta by coach, which takes you to the "Three Cities". This collective term covers the three fortified towns of Birgu, Senglea and Cospicua on Malta. The oldest of them is Birgu, which already existed before the Middle Ages. As you stroll through the streets of the towns, your tour guide will accompany you with interesting explanations. You will then enjoy a 1.5-hour harbor tour and have free time afterwards.
Day 8: March 18, 2025 / Journey home In the morning after breakfast, you will be transferred from the hotel to the airport. Departure from Malta to Luxembourg is scheduled for late morning.
