Normandy

Day 1: Arrival in Normandy

Departure is in the morning. Breakfast and lunch will be taken during the journey. After arrival and check-in at the hotel, the afternoon is free.

Day 2: Trouville-sur-Mer

After a delicious breakfast, you will depart for Lisieux to visit the Basilica of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux. This basilica, completed in 1954, is dedicated to Saint Thérèse of Lisieux (1873-1897) and is among the largest churches built in the 20th century. Then, you will take the bus to Trouville-sur-Mer. Upon arrival, you'll have time for lunch and to explore the town. In the late afternoon, a wine tasting with a glass of white wine at the "Halles aux poissons" is planned before returning to the hotel.

Day 3: Caen Memorial

After breakfast, you will depart for a guided tour of the Caen Memorial. The Caen Memorial is a museum that traces Operation Neptune with the Allied landings on June 6, 1944 (D-Day) in Normandy, as well as the subsequent battles to liberate the region from German occupation, placing it in the context of 20th-century European history from World War I to the fall of the Berlin Wall. It is visited by approximately 630,000 visitors each year. After lunch, a guided tour of the following sites is planned: 1. Pointe du Hoc: symbol of the courage of the 225 Rangers under the command of Colonel Rudder 2. Omaha Beach: one of the deadliest beaches where the Americans landed on June 6 3. American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer: On 70 hectares are 9,387 graves of American soldiers fallen on D-Day and during the Battle of Normandy. Finally, the film "100 Days in Normandy" will be shown at the Circular Cinema Arromanches 360.

Day 4: Étretat – Le Havre

After a hearty breakfast, you will travel to Étretat for a guided tour. Étretat is best known for its steep cliffs with exceptional formations framing the site on both sides. Then, you will have free time for lunch. Next, a guided bus tour of the city of Le Havre is planned. Le Havre is the largest city in Normandy in terms of population and the second largest in terms of area after Rouen. The city is located on the English Channel, at the mouth of the Seine. After the guided tour, you will have free time before returning to the hotel. Overnight stay in Deauville.

Day 5: Free day

Take the opportunity to explore the region at your leisure or be inspired by the numerous shops for shopping. You can also spend a relaxed day on the long sandy beach and relax under the colorful umbrellas and loungers.

Day 6: Honfleur – Pont l'Évêque

After a delicious breakfast, a guided tour of Honfleur is planned. Discover the Sainte-Catherine church, a salt granary, and the old town. Then, you will have free time for lunch. Stroll through the picturesque town, which is among the most beautiful places and attractions in Normandy. In the afternoon, you will visit the Calvados Experience with a tasting. The Calvados Experience is an exceptional museum that details the history of Calvados. You will then taste 3 Calvados AOC accompanied by 3 different Norman cheeses.

Day 7: Mont Saint-Michel

After breakfast, a full-day excursion to Mont-Saint-Michel is planned, a wonder of the Western world. The proud island fortress rises up to 80 meters above the sea. In the afternoon, return to the hotel.

Day 8: Return to Luxembourg

After a hearty breakfast, you will travel to Giverny to visit the Monet Museum and its gardens. Then, you will return to Luxembourg with lunch on the way.
