Itinerary
Day 1: 17 June 2025 / Montpellier Arrival in Montpellier in the late morning on a direct flight from Luxembourg. Transfer to the hotel, followed by a guided tour of Montpellier. Free time to explore the city at your own pace.
Day 2: 18 June 2025 / La Grande Motte - Aigues-Mortes - Dinner and show A day devoted to La Grande Motte to explore its unique architecture, followed by a visit to Aigues-Mortes, a charming fortified village.Discover a Manade de Camargue with bullfighting and horse-riding demonstrations. Take a ride on the tourist train to visit the salt works or see the pink flamingos. Finish the day with a dinner and show at the Cabaret Equestre, featuring horses and flamenco dancing.
Day 3: 19 June 2025 / Nîmes - Uzès - Pont du Gard After breakfast, transfer to Nîmes, nicknamed the ‘French Rome’. Guided tour of the city, famous for its Roman monuments. Continue on to Uzès, classified as a Town of Art and History, then discover the Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 4: 20 June 2025 / Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert - Étang de Thau - Sète Morning excursion to Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, a UNESCO site on the Pilgrim's Way to Santiago de Compostela and one of the most beautiful villages in France. Lunch at the Ferme Marine in Marseillan, on the shores of the Etang de Thau, specialising in the production of mussels, fish and muscat wines. In the afternoon, guided tour of Sète, nicknamed the Venice of Languedoc, with its canals, beaches and bustling fishing port.
Day 5: 21 June 2025 / Free day Day at leisure to explore Montpellier or take advantage of your hotel's facilities for a relaxing break.
Day 6: 22 June 2025 / Narbonne - Fontfroide Abbey Morning departure for Narbonne. Its 2,500 years of history will take you on a journey back in time through its streets, which are steeped in a rich heritage. Afterwards, visit Fontfroide Abbey, a medieval jewel nestling in the heart of the Corbières. Enjoy the unique atmosphere of the old stones and peaceful gardens.
Day 7: 23 June 2025 / Carcassonne A day dedicated to Carcassonne, one of the largest medieval citadels in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A boat trip on the Canal du Midi, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, completes the day. Finally, visit the Château de Pennautier for a tasting of local wines and a tour of its elegant formal gardens.
Day 8: 24 June 2025 / Return Morning at leisure to enjoy your last moments in Montpellier. Transfer to the airport and return flight to Luxembourg in the early afternoon.
